Everything discussed in our sessions, and all personal information, remain confidential, with a few exceptions:
- You mention that you are at risk of serious harm to yourself or others
- You are going to break the law
- You are going to commit an act of terrorism
- Where you give consent/request for confidentiality to be broken
- Where I am compelled to by a court of law
- During sessions with my supervisor, however this is without identifiers, entirely anonymised.
- For safeguarding purposes, as it is a legal framework to protect children, young people, vulnerable adults, and individuals at risk of harm, abuse, and neglect.
Client notes are kept for 5 years and then destroyed, as per my insurance policy. You are welcome, and have the legal right, to view the notes on our sessions. If you should wish to do so, please contact me.
